Description
Core Texts of the Hasidic Masters, Part 12 of 43. Lecture 5, Part A. Schachter-Shalomi begins class five by answering questions on Jewish and Hasidic concepts encountered in the class readings. He discusses a seeming contradiction between the teachings of the Maggid of Mezritch and Pinhas of Koretz. After answering a few more questions, he turns his attention to Levi Yitzhak of Berditchev and sings his song called "Dudele" (The You Song). He talks a little bit about Reb Levi Yitzhak and then moves on to his teaching called "Teyku---Because Elijah Never Died!" He then explains a teaching of Moshe Leib of Sassov on arousing Love and Awe without naming him until later in the explanation. He goes on to speak about the fear of God and different types of fear. A course in the Department of Religious Studies at the Naropa Institute, Spring, 1998. See JRRZ0001S0056N0001 - N0043
