Description
Core Texts of the Hasidic Masters, Part 18 of 43. Lecture 8, Part A. Schachter-Shalomi begins the class answering questions about "hating evil," "Subduing the Animal Soul," and "what is evil?" He then discusses Hokhmah, the 'H' of HaBaD, and goes on to talk about prayer. He tells a story of Rev. Howard Thurman on catalyzing prayer and then speaks of Reb Nahman of Bratzlav's teaching about turning teachings into prayer. This is followed by a discussion of material in the Tanya on the paradox of God's existence. He then discusses Reb Shneur Zalman's teaching, "What is Faith?" and the two wings of Love and Awe.
