Biographical / Historical

Sir John Martin Harvey (1863-1944) born in Essex, found passion for acting at a young age. In 1882, Martin Harvey joined Sir Henry Irving's Lyceum Theatre company, where he gained lead roles for multiple plays that toured around Great Britain and North America. After gaining his stardome, Martin Harvey was knighted in 1921. He passed in his home at the age of 80, in 1944.
