LeRoy Moore papers
Scope and Contents
The majority of the LeRoy Moore Papers include research and legal documents on the health risks posed at Rocky Flats Nuclear Power Plant and other sites exposed to radiation. Some of these documents include Moore’s activism during this time period and his involvement in the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center. Among his papers, this collection also includes books and personal journals that recount people’s experiences at Rocky Flats.

Biographical / Historical
LeRoy Moore has been an active member in Boulder’s community, working towards a proper cleanup of the Rocky Flats Nuclear Power Plant for over 40 years. Through his activism, Moore began teaching courses on nonviolent social change at the University of Colorado Boulder in 1980 until his retirement in 1996. Among his work in academia, Moore has also authored a number of articles on the effects of radiation and has been active in many local environmental committees in Boulder, CO. http://www.rockyflatsnuclearguardianship.org/leroy-moore
