Abstract
The Colorado State Council of Carpenters was organized in August 1914. In April 1959, it was proposed to establish a Southern District Council of Carpenters. Colorado, in 1960, was divided into two District Councils: Denver and Vicinity and the Southern District. The Colorado Centennial District Council of Carpenters coordinated the two district councils. The Colorado Centennial District Council of Carpenters (UBCJA) contains correspondence, meetings, court cases, quarterly reports, financial reports, information on the local unions formed and local union memberships from all the State Council and its two district councils. Denver and Vicinity and Southern District. These papers date from 1914 up to 1985. Preliminary Inventory available in Special Collections and Archives.
