Abstract

Sheldon Jackson (1834-1909) organized Presbyterian Home Mission activities in the Rocky Mountain West and in Alaska during the 1870s-1890s. The collection consists of microfilm copies of 64 scrapbooks of clippings and articles about his work. About half of the books deal with Alaska; others with Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and additional western states. There are also scrapbooks with hymns, personal items, and information on women's missions.
