The Boulder Free School (also known as the Community Free School) was founded in the late 1960s to provide alternative education, including courses in folk medicine, astrology, dance and others not available through the University of Colorado. The collection consists primarily of catalogues which include informational articles and course descriptions and schedules. Theodore Dru Alison Cockerell, professor of zoölogy at the University of Colorado from 1904 to 1934, was an internationally known naturalist who researched and published prolifically in zoölogy, botany, ecology and paleontology.

The Patterson Family Papers illuminate the family life of the Pattersons and represent a vivid social, domestic, economic, cultural and educational record. Thomas Patterson was a leader in real estate, law, and politics in Denver and Colorado. The collection consists primarily of correspondence among family members over the period, 1865-1925.

Col. Thomas R. Miller was an early Colorado mining engineer. His collection contains correspondence, reports, maps and pictures of mines Miller invested in and reported on. 1880-1909. Approx. 60 items

Thomas Riha, professor of Russian History at the University of Colorado, disappeared in March 1969. His disappearance provoked at considerable controversy as the anti-government atmosphere environment of the University and Boulder were then at their height during the Vietnam War. His whereabouts are still a mystery. The materials in this collection contain no references to Riha's disappearance, but concern his field of Russian history and include scholarly articles by Riha.

Thomas Robson owned a wholesale retail grocery store in Leadville, Colorado from 1881-1906. The collection contains; ledgers, daybooks, invoices, receipts, bills, cancelled checks and correspondence with customers.

The Thomas Sewall papers consist of an autograph album from the 1830's of photographs and inscriptions by those living in Massachusetts.
