Abstract
Bob Schaffer served as Colorado's Fourth District Congressional Representative for six years (1997-2002) as a member of the Republican party. He focused on Colorado's agricultural and educational needs in Washington, sponsoring and co-sponsoring legislation. A majority of the collection consists of legislation related to education and resource management. Some objects, photographs, slides, and framed pictures are in the collection as well, highlighting his success in Congress.

Series 06 consists of 2,830 photographs, the vast majority of which (approximately 2,450) are color transparencies, also known as slides. The images document ongoing field work at the Yellow Jacket Complex, including sites 5MT-1, 5MT-2, 5MT-3, and 5MT-5, as well as the social life of the field crew and supervisors, the scenery and environs surrounding the area, and other sites in the region.
